Simply put, The Stinger series are built for tone. The brainchild of Dave Carpenter and overlooked by Edwin Wilson, these guitars all had handpicked woods and were built with the upmost care. They were looking to make something special and they most certainly did. All of the Stinger Series Gibson Les Paul Standard (1954, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, & 1960) Historic Reissues have Brazilian Rosewood fingerboards. The Brazilian Rosewood being used at this time is some of the most visually incredible wood I actually have ever seen.
Kept in a controlled guitar friendly environment for life.
Weighs in at eight.8 lbs.
I bought a Stinger for play, and this one for a keepsake. Now, it’s time to pass alongside to a collector/player that can appreciate the history and the craftsmanship.
Includes case candy, Gibson certificate and Music Machine Certificate; all that is in photos including case and original sales slip.
