For sale is a NM 1955 Gibson Les Paul Junior. I’ve been a collector for a couple of years now (over a decade), in my humble opinion, this is one of the cleanest vintage Les Paul Juniors I actually have come across.  Due to finances I am going to have to sell this gorgeous instrument.  I originally purchased this guitar from Fretted Americana. For detailed information on this guitar, plus more photos, please clink on the first link below.  The link will describe the weight, fret ware, as well as, minor checking. Fretted Americana rated the guitar a 9.25 regarding its condition.  The original case and guitar chord were rated a 9 according to Fretted Americana (will be included in the purchase).  I bought the guitar and stored it away four years ago.  The guitar is in pristine condition, plays perfectly, and will surely be a rare addition to your collection.  Just to reiterate, the guitar is a hundred% original regarding internal (coveted bumble bee capacitors) and external components.  Don’t let this one get away. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions.  Accepting best offer, message me.

This thirteen-inch-wide, electric solid body guitar weighs just 7.00 lbs. Solid mahogany body with two-color brown-to-yellow sunburst finish on top and dark brown finish on back and sides. One-piece mahogany neck with a nut width of just over 1 eleven/16 inches, a standard Gibson scale length of 24 three/4 inches and a fantastic thick ‘baseball-bat’ profile. Unbound Brazilian rosewood fretboard with 22 original thin frets and inlaid pearl dot markers. Headstock with “Gibson” logo and “Les Paul Junior” silk-screened in gold. Single-layer black plastic, bell-shaped truss-rod cover with two screws. Three-in-a-line Kluson Deluxe ‘single-line’ no-name strip tuners with oval white plastic buttons. Serial number “513177” inked-on in black on the back of the headstock. Single-layer black plastic pickguard with three screws. One P-90 pickup in the bridge position with a very hot output of 7.90k. Black plastic pickup cover stamped on the underside “UC – 450-1 / 2”. Two controls (one volume, one tone) on lower treble bout. The potentiometers are stamped “615 2632 543” (ROC October 1955). Original “Bumble-Bee” capacitor. Gold plastic bell-shape “Bell” control knobs. Original combination wrap-over bar bridge/tailpiece with two intonation screws. There is some very fine finish checking on the top. There is a small area of surface loss on the back of the neck just behind the Sixth fret (probably from a guitar stand) which measures approximately three/4 x 1/4 inch. The original thin frets show very little wear and there is virtually no playing wear on the fretboard. Overall this all original fifty-nine year old Les Paul Junior is in near mint (9.25) condition and is one of the best looking, playing and sounding Les Paul Juniors that we have ever seen. Complete with the original gray guitar cord. Housed in the original Gibson three-latch softshell ‘Aligator’ case with purple felt lining (9.00). Definitely one of the finest and cleanest examples we have ever seen.
